Frequently Asked Questions
Yoga
The studio has all the supplies and props necessary, but you’re welcome to bring your own. Doors open seven minutes before class begins.
Yes. It’s a gentle-to-moderate practice and all levels are welcome. It combines physical postures with mindfulness and self-reflection, emphasizing awareness of breath and body.

Coaching & Mentoring
Not at all. It’s a risk-free chance for you to discern if the coaching process will serve your needs.
The packages are designed to offer the best value — both financially and in outcomes. When you commit to the process, you increase your personal investment and your chances of success. But you’re welcome to schedule one session at a time if that fits better.
Absolutely. Just ask, and Michelle will offer three different options.
The coaching relationship is co-creative. Think of learning a new sport, instrument or art technique — you already arrive with the talent, desire and inner resources to improve, and the coach offers tips, suggestions, practices and fundamentals that enhance what you already have. In a nutshell: therapy is more talking, coaching is more doing.
Absolutely. All good coaches have experience with what they’re coaching — there isn’t a basketball coach who never played basketball, or a piano teacher who never played piano. The heart of coaching is teaching what one has learned first hand. The art of it is balancing support and encouragement while still cultivating growth.
Reiki
Massage is a physical healing modality; reiki is an energetic one. You lie fully clothed on a massage table, but Michelle will not massage, stretch or manipulate your muscles or joints. She might apply gentle pressure to an area, but only to enhance energetic flow.
Only if you want it to be. The principles of reiki can be part of a religious or spiritual practice, but they don’t require it to be a meaningful source of healing. If you recognize a higher power, it might help to tell Michelle how you prefer to acknowledge it — God, Source, Holy Spirit, and so on.
Everyone has a unique experience, and the best thing to do is release expectations. Logistically, Michelle will either hover hands over you or gently lay hands on you, only in areas you’re comfortable with. You might feel deep relaxation, warmth or coolness, see colors, notice gripping or tension, notice a release, or none of the above. Nothing is right or wrong.
Short answer: yes. Longer answer: the aim is a relaxing, introspective space, and small talk doesn’t always serve that. But if some chat eases anxiety, chat away. Michelle will also ask questions during the session, and you can answer with as much detail as you’re comfortable with.
You’ll have a few moments to debrief, share anything about your experience and ask questions, and Michelle will share insights she gained during the session. Afterwards, journaling, prayer or meditation, time in nature, or quiet reflection all help the benefits integrate. You’ll also get a document describing common feelings and experiences people have post-session.
It’s different for everyone. One client described it as “like I returned to myself.” Whenever you’re feeling disconnected — from yourself, in your relationships, or in general — that’s a good time to book, regardless of when your last session was.
